CONDOLENCES OVER 6 FIREMEN KILLED

Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) wishes to record condolences to
a family of 6 firefighters from the rescue teams in water (PPDA) who died during the search and rescue operation of a teenager drowning in drowsiness.

The incident happened at Taman Putra Perdana, Selangor
it was very heartbreaking because the six firefighters involved were trapped in a heavy whirlwind due to heavy rains at the site during discharge.

As the humanitarian body involved with the disaster mission in the country, MRA acknowledges that the duties and responsibilities undertaken by the parties.
The Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia as a rescue team during an emergency is extremely difficult. This is because the team is often exposed to various hazardous situations and contingent risks.

MRA also wanted to emphasize the lack of awareness among the public regarding the dangers of being in the water. On average, dying from drowsiness is about 590 deaths a year. Everyone needs to ensure that their family and their safety are not neglected while they are near a potentially degraded area.

Malaysians are deeply indebted to the services and sacrifices of firefighters who have died while performing their duties. May their spirits be blessed with grace and placed among the believers.

Dr Mohd Daud Bin Sulaiman
President,
Malaysian Relief Agency.
